Default Anyone with aeromotive 340 and BAP?

Hello,

I recently swapped my walbro 255 and BAP with a single aeromotive 340 fuel pump. I deinstalled the BAP completely thinking that a single aeromotive 340 will perform better and I will be able to put up the boost. However this is not the case and it seems that the walbro with the BAP was performing better. My id's 1000 are maxing out sooner with the aeromotive 340 which is also hardwired with the battery. Is anyone using the aeromotive 340 with a BAP and id's 1000 and what was the whp he succeeded? My fuel lines are stock

I am running PFAB ELT stage 2 turbo kit with a GT3582AR. I was 565whp at 1.55 bar on dynapack dyno on pump fuel with the walbro 255 and a BAP. Now with the single aeromotive 340 I can't even run 1.55 bar as before I only want to tune it on pump fuel. I also tried different base fuel pressures but doesn't seem to make any significant difference

you shouldnt run out of fuel pump on pump gas tune. that makes no sense. motor stock?

Are dyno,s must be harder in the uk (me) grease (chris)

Have had a tts sc kit on 20psi stock motor 100% duty at 9500rpm around 500whp pump fuel .So theres 4 of us in the same boat 3 in the uk gay chris in Grease .

Chris as a fully built motor.

well built motor makes more sense. stock motor on 93 mon or 98 ron can only resist so much knock. its not like one motor is more magic then another. i personally would not run 20 psi on pump gas, but others dont mind, i just dont see enough benefit for the risk. built motor can handle more knock, so yeah i could see that happening. i am on 255 pump and bosch 900. at around 450whp i see 70ish duty cycle. stock base pressure, so add 14 psi and i see 70psi ish on the rail. walbro cant jump much more then 80ish so you run out of injector and pump at around 500. 340 pump should flow more, but again, injectors might be holding you back on stock base pressure.

many factors come into play. also, not sure how good that 340 pump is. ful blowns i hear kicks ass. walbro 400 not really sure.

just go straight to 1600/2000 cc injectors and a dual pump setup, then your only hold back will be the fuel rofl. BAP should fix your pump issue though as long as pump can handle extra voltage.

UK guys all seem to report much lower numbers on their dynos compared to the states overall for some reason. So 565whp over there is well into the 625whp+ range based on what ive gathered. And that would then make sense.

Cheers mate :-) At 13 psi I maxed my 255/id1000s out on a gt3076r 82ar stock wiring .So I then got the full blown 340 pump rewired and panicked when the TTS maxed out ,in the uk my findings were quote ........

So lots of us have id 1000 injectors just want to save people time and money.

255 walbro ,stock wiring id 1000s 420whp

Rewired 13.5 volts guessing at 450whp.

Aeromotive 340 Stealth

stock wiring gessing 470whp

Rewired 13.5 volts 500ish whp

Exceptions

we know that a 255 walbro with a kenne bell boost a pump (voltage jumps, when in boost to 17volts) id 1000s boosts the pump to 560whp.

So im guessing again with the 340 should hit 600 ish whp using the BAP.

After this it all gets exspensive ie duel pumps hangers surge tanks ,exsternal pumps etc.

Note as your boost goes up your fuel pressure goes up making it hard for the pump to supply fuel .

My spelling is rubbish hope this might save people some Wonga Lee.

I was going to sell my BAP, but decided to keep it for my next setup, it's easy assurance if you need a little extra.

Aside from that, the walbro pumps run well on a few extra volts anyway.
