We understand customer's concerns about bracing the manifold but what people don't understand is stainless moves when heated and cooled. Metal expansion is happening no matter what, so a brace can effect this expansion and create MORE stress and potentially crack the manifold instead of helping it. In the past years of our R&D process on multiple applications; we have found that it is better to engineer the manifold to have the strength needed for this expansion that takes place, rather than add a brace to compensate for the "strength" of the manifold. Bracing WILL cause more problems on a long runner manifold because the amount of movement when heated will be greater than the brace will allow. For example; FULL-race doesn't use any bracing on there manifolds and they are by far the number one manifold supplier in the nation. (Yes name dropping competition)

As far as the V-band "situation"; it supplies 360 degrees of clamping force. That's as good as it gets. An example would be Tial. They use v-band exhaust housings on there turbos. We actually use Tial v-band hardware in our kits javascript:emoticon(''). Brian (S20004ME_pdx) has used this setup for over 6 months and hasn't had any issues with the v-band or any part of the turbo kit. Our original downpipe design that was on this vehicle for testing actually ended up too low and had issues with bottoming out with street driving. This created lots of flex and stress onto all components including the manifold and didn't cause any issues besides us making a new downpipe.

Actually we use aeroquip black hoses. This specific hose can handle up to 300 degrees and 250psi of pressure. Just as much as most stainless braided; not shiny.
Im not bashing the kit guys ahah
i just wanted to know how decent it was, and it sounds like a great kit, thats why im questioning it, i just wanna know more about it.
Obviously a solid kit is the way to go, and a safe kit at that, and thats what you guys have.
Btw, ive tryed emailing you guys both on here and on your website, is calling the best option?

well ive looked at the mase but its a little pricey for me.
It is a complete kit but if i could get a complete kit from froged for cheaper, then thats what im doing.

Plus forged looks more bullitproof.
i'm also going for their turbo kit in the future.

mase or forged?
id love to go mase but i dont have 8g to buy the thing and the extra 1g to spend on tuning(im a student with tuition to pay, fml)
Forged looks reasonable and just as great as a mase.
If only i knew what they would charge for a complete kit package id be 1 step closer or stuck in the same spot as i am now.
BUT!
if forged doesnt work out, inline is selling stg 1 complete kit packages for 5G!!!
^its a good deal

i think you cant go wrong with either kit, ive had the chance to see both kits in person, and been given a ride in each and they both were awesome.

i think the forged kit does need to put on a dynojet just to get a slightly closer comparison to other dynojet numbers floating around.

for additional reference i made 198 on this dyno with a toda header, berk hfc, and tic exhaust on an ap2. so no the dyno isnt number friendly.

I have the new ramhorn setup from them. Good looking manifold and downpipe. The welds on everything look great. Got it ceramic coated too. I just need to put a 44mm flange in place of the 38mm because I ended up buying the Tial MVR for it. Havent had a chance to install it yet. Been so busy at work. May actually sell it if I dont get it on sometime soon.

Mase > ptuning

Ptuning looks way to complicated with a oil pump and having to swap the mount. The mase kit is extremely easy to install and no relocation necessary

Forged does look nice though
Sometimes more complex means better final outcome.

PTuning = less potential for failure by reducing heat via turbo position as well as oil cooler. The oil scavenger system is something that nobody else offers in a kit.

We'll find out if it's the first turbo kit that will be trackable without heat issues in a few weeks.
