S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Anyone running a 400rwhp SC?

I think the only thing that was necessarily incorrect is that you don't necessarily need headwork.

In this same thread it has been proven that the modifications he mentioned are not mandatory requirements to achieve 400rwhp as he had claimed. That is enough detail.
Besides, what would he know? He has a turbo.

Just a few questions to further elaborate on what's necessary:

1. What size exhaust are we talking about here? Is a 3 inch single mandatory, or is anyone achieving those numbers with something less antisocial?

2. I noticed that there seems to be no one preferred method of lowering compression amongst the sc crowd - some are running stock block with a flowed head, some using lower compression pistons, some a thicker headgasket. Turbo'ed people seem to often go for inline pro's 3mm. Is this a viable option for those with a centrifugal sc? Would the blower provide enough boost to offset the lower compression at lower revs?

3. Spark plugs - 1 heat range lower or 2?

4. ( ok newb question ) On the comptech kit, would a blow-off valve with an adjustable spring be necessary or can we use the stock recirculating valve that comes with the kit?

Thanks for your answers

Out of 3 SC guys that just posted here (that have over 400hp), all 3 have some kind of headwork. Only 1 doesn't have a headgasket.... Seems like, based off those 3, some headwork is needed. Thats what I went by.

I may not know much, but I can sure as hell read 3 signitures

I'm at 350 now and was going to shoot for 400+rwhp with my Comptech SC, but it looks like its not going to happen. I'm probably going to sell it now since I just bought a house.

Supporting mods I had planned:

-AEM EMS
-RC 750cc injectors
-3" ASP pulley
-AEM 3.5 bar map sensor
-Aeromotive FPR
-J's Racing header
-T1R 70R V3 header-back exhaust
-Water/Meth injection

For all the SC owners that want that magical # of 400rwhp, I have a head for sale that with work and other supporting mods should get you to your wishes/wants. Here is the link: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&#entry10442003

John, how the hell are you hitting 14psi with ASP 4" ?? I was only making 11-12psi.

Great numbers BTW
Thanks, we hit 14psi by running the motor to up to 9300rpms.

I'll take a stab at it with my observations

1. A 3" exhaust is not mandatory but would be nice. Any free flowing 2.75"-3" single exhaust should do well.

2. I had my head built to increase efficiency, not lower compression. If you have a great tuner you can get by on stock compression. Again, it relies heavily on the tune. A 3mm hg might lower compression too much when off boost with an SC. The car would probably feel sluggish until you got into high boost.

3. Up to about 350-375rwhp 1 step colder. 400rwhp and above 2 steps colder.

4. Can't help you on that as I'm not familiar with the CTSC
