I am curious if any of you are running a Braille battery or the equivalent. I am tired of the AEM not starting with 12.4 volts or so.
How has it worked out for you? Enough reserve capacity?
Thanks in advance.

I have been using the Shorai LFX36L3-BS12 lithium battery. The only downside is that you need to disconnect it when the car sits for more than two weeks without running. Otherwise, it has been flawless.

I was using a ballistic then switched to a Scorpion LiPho4 battery. Here is the DIY I did

If you do a lithium battery, highly recommend a lithium battery trickle charger.

We've used several lightweight lithium batteries throughout the years and of those batteries these guys have the best one.

I've used the Lithium Iron batteries (that's the type typically used for vehicles) in everything from Experimental Aircraft, Motorcycles and Regular cars. They are very lightweight and have incredible cranking power, as long as they are not cold.
I've recently been purchasing lithium motorcycle batteries from "Batteries and Bulbs" a franchise chain, that sells the K2-Energy brand (locally at a good discount) (also avial on Amazon)

The K2 Energy batteries have very robust terminals. Something lacking on many other brands.
Just know that they won't power your headlights or domelights for as long as a stock battery. They crank better, but don't have the stored energy to run a load for a long time.
If you have an alarm that has quiescent current (draws current when the car is off) it will deplete a lighweight lithium battery more rapidly than the stock battery.
