Angry Anyone safely running 7lb pulley without..

I have Comptech SC w/o Aftercooler / Comptech Exhaust. Im running the stock pulley, Im not interested in huge numbers but 300whp would be ideal- Im guessing to be around 280-290whp right now and I figure a 7lb pulley would put me where I want- Ive heard of people running 7psi on the Comptech ESM and Ive also heard the stock injectors should be ok up to around 330whp- If I get the pulley and take it to a dyno, what tunning can they do to accomodate the extra boost?

all they can do is adjust the AF ratio by turning the FPR. Should be fine on 7lbs with the 'stock' comptech kit though. might i ask where you're getting the pulley from?

i beg to differ
try http://www.aspracing.com.

I've heard of fitment issues in the past w/ Tech 2, not sure whether it was w/ vortech pulleys or comptech but personally it's not my preference to go w/ tech2

I thought you could buy the 7lb pulley off the 04 sc for the older sc's (ie: 02) from Comptech?

Side question here... what's the easiest way to swap pulleys ? Any chance it can be done with the blower on the car ? It doesn't look like i can get a socket on there.

I believe with the Comptech, you'll need to remove the blower. Just unbolt the whole mounting bracket. If you don't have a impact wrench, loosen the pulley bolt while the belt still has tension.

Also wondering about this, Im in the same place as DEEZ comptech kit with no A/C and looking to upgrade to a 7lb pulley sometime in the future. Has anyone been running a 7lb pulley with a non aftercooled kit for a while. I wonder if this holds up fine with long time use on it.
