I currently use the "Comptech 7/8lbs Pulley". They recommend that you turn the FPR two full turn CLOCKWISE!. It'll be fine. So far, I'm running it for 2 month without an A/C and it's fine. No Cel, No bogg no funny noises, just a good old whining of the compressor. I got it directly from Comptech just to assure the correct fit. With Pulley/belt/shipping..cost me about 170. You can definately feel the different with 2psi of extra boost.

 

Anyone been running an 7lb pulley with no a/c for over 10k miles?

I have been running 7psi W/O after cool for over 4 months now. I got some belt slip problem.

I ran 7 psi with aftercooler for well over a year now. I had it dynoed originally and needed to turn the fpr up 5 full turns.

As of recent, I added a test pipe and it leaned the car out alot.

 

Sorry to jump on your thread DEEZ but I had a similar question. I don't know what lbs it is but if I put a 4.25" pulley, will I be fine without engine management??? I have a Vortech Kit w/ Aftercooler...

Also, it is probably a stupid question but what is FPR?? (fuel pressure something???)

 

FPR is fuel pressure regulator

 

so do I need to have one?? Which one is the best to get??
