What caused that? Oil starvation possibly?

So it couldn't have been the hose coming off and sticking in and hitting the fan? I mean it looks like the hose is scored at the sides -

Is it possible for the intake hose bit to fit enough inside the supercharger to break the fans?

Super toasted bearing IMO.

Didnt you hear the charger sounding like it was dying?

If a spark plug electrode droped into a cylinder can score the sleeve, I'd hate to see what kind of damage was done to you block with this failure.

Well, hopefully he had an aftercooler. If he did the chances, of getting broken pieces of fins inside are less.

It looks like foreign object damage, like something was pulled into the impeller with the engine running. If the intake hose wasn't connected that's your cause. Not bearing damage.

There's the answer. The SC pulls in a huge amount of air. and will pull in anything close.
