S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

anyone seen this happen to a Vortech?

I'd think that there is a VERY good chance of additional damage downstream. Even with the blower spinning at idle, I'm sure small shards were flying all over the place. Certainly small enough to pass through the aftercooler.

Just to add why the damage isn't from a bearing, There isn't a bearing on that side of the impeller. The impeller shaft is driven from the opposite side. I saw another S2k with a Comptech unit almost suck a fender cover into the blower when running the engine without the air filter.

well cars back on the road, the new charger is a lot less noisey and its running really well. Intercooler must have saved the engine!

Did you by any chance have your engine checked out? Compression, leak-down, etc...
