AP2 Comptech kit fit on AP1
Hey i was just wondering if all the comptech sc kits fit on any s2k? i see that there are 3 different kits on the CT engineering site. Just wondering if all the brackets and stuff are the same. Im going to look at a kit and is there any way to tell if the kit is for an AP1, AP2? BTW its non aftercooled if that means anything. He says that its for an AP1 but i just want to make sure. Thanks.
It doesn't matter, the pulley size = boost amount) is the only difference. Some of those non aftercooled kits are old with allot of miles, make sure you get the full scoop on its history or I would be weary if getting it. My buddy got one and 6 months later the bearings went out, he got a rebuild kit for it and found out the blower housing itself was damaged and is now buying another whole blower. Also the mounting bracket went through several updates over the years, the very old ones use to crack at the mounting bolt holes because the plate was thinner and it didn't utilize rubber mounts. if you plan on upping the boost more then stock which we all want to do eventually, you will need to invest in either a Aftercooler or FMIC or water injection. This kit your looking at could be a good one with low miles and at a great price, but just know what your getting and what you may have to invest in later as part of the price.
