I have the FB340 installed with stock wiring. I've been getting spiking AFR at very low rpm...15-18 AFR trying to take off in 1st gear etc. It seems to only do it at low demand when I'm putting it into 1st gear during a normal take off. It's not an indication error because the car gets really jerky and this morning, had to turn it off and then back on.

I'm wondering if this is a symptom of the stock wiring and installing a power hungry 340 fuel pump? Part throttle and WOT is a constant 11.7 while cruising, no issues there.

I've been trying to catch it while I datalog but it is so inconsistent and random. I have ID1000s and set the FPR to 50psi for base fuel pressure.

Any thoughts or anyone experience this...trying to speed up my trouble-shooting. I got all the parts and plan to install the relay this weekend and change all the wiring inside the hangar.

Thanks!

now at 7k miles on this setup and have been at 13psi for 3kmiles one thing I have found is with a larger pump than a 255 you will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

I second this statement. Wish that information had been readily available to me a few months ago. I switched to an AEM FPR to solve my fueling issues.

for a depining tool I use an old vw solid throttle cable or a small allen wrench slowly ground down (DO NOT LET IT GET TOO HOT) if it gets red hot it will loose the heat treatment and snap off inside a terminal I have the factory tool and prefer the allen wrench in my first pic sorry I didn't respond sooner didn't see the question

on high volume fuel pumps the factory regulator has trouble regulating the pressure down enough and makes things harder to tune more heat in the fuel idle problems coolguy094 dealt with problems check his posts

Spiking afr? Are you logging your fuel pressure? I have had several of the Aeromotive 340 pumps go bad so I have now been using the AEM 320lph pump. Another side note is to remember to NOT run these pumps with low fuel levels. Low fuel levels will cause the pump to run excessively hot and burn out, typically causing a lean spike or just dying altogether. When my aeros went out we noticed fuel pressure would drop in the upper RPM range and really lean out the AFRs.
