Hello i heard people were having problems with the arp nuts loosening off of the arp exhaust studs. how did people fix this? using the stock nuts with lock washers? or using the arp nuts with lock washers? thanks!

I used whatever they sent me, and haven't had a single issue.

I checked them 1k after I first put them on and not one was loose.

The ARP exhaust studs have a certain pitch to the threads that lock the nut down once its tightened. Its the same design aerospace fasteners use. You do NOT need to use any other fasteners with them. I've had mine for about 3 years and never had one come loose.
