Default ASP Vortech Pulley - Any slippage?

Looking for people who have first hand experience in using smaller ASP pulleys. I am planning to using a 3.7" or a 4" ASP pulley on the Vortech kit.

Any belt slippage on these sizes?

My friend spoke to the ASP personnel and they recommended to use a steel pulley over the aluminum if there is a belt slippage problem. ASP also cuts the pulley according to a gates belt not the vortech goodyear gatorback belt.

There reason I am asking about belt slippage is because I rather go with an aluminum pulley to minimize inertia.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

I have an 3.6 inch ASP pulley in aluminum. And I charge
17,3 psi without slippering. It works great!

What belt are you using? Did you lower your compression ratios?

I use Bosch PK1256. I lowered with a 3mm Cometic.

The steel pulley would display better wear characteristics under sustained belt slippage.

In addittion I doubt that the steel pulley would contribute significantly to the inertial load, firstly because under (loaded) acceleration the rate of speed increase is small and under free (ie unloaded engine) deacceleration the compressor wheel "resistance" will act as a brake and strip the kinetic energy at a rapid rate.
