Hey guys, I just put an Aut cooling plate in place of the aluminum tubing that comes with the Greddy turbo kit. I cut out the aluminum peice that is under the scoop of the Aut for air to come in, but the major question is fitment. all holes line up and I had to do a little dremeling around the hood latch, but the hood barely closes. I don't slam the hood like I used to because of threads i have read about the Aut, so I slowely close than I have to press down hard to get it to latch. It does latch, but it takes pressure. I'm not in any danger of the hood opening while driving am I? Does anyone have a fix for this or is this just how it is going to be.
It also looks like it is rubbing a little on the left side of the scoop, but I am not going to dremel the hood. Should I just dremel the cooling plate or is there an adjustment I can make?
Lastly, what is involved in adjusting the hood latch up?
Here you go guys. I adjusted up the rubber stoppers. The hood still closes harder than I would like, but it does latch, so I guess it wil be fine. Anyone else have anymore suggestions about adjustments to the hood? We will see tomorrow if it rattles or if i have any other problems.
