Arrow Axles-Differencial

Hey guys, is it true that OEM axles and diff, snap/brake after some miles with a s/c kit on? Is that a matter for the gearbox also? Am on the verge of buying a kit and a friend of mine told me such rumors. Is he right? What should i do?

it depends on how you drive your car. Your diff and axles will not brek JUST cause you have the supecharger kit on there. It all comes down to how the car is driven.

If you're going to sit there doing hard launches, clutch dumps and basically just beating on your car like that, then you will probably end up damaging or breaking something... Otherwise you shouldn't have much to worry about as long as you stay on top of basic maintenance (i.e. fluids, etc..)

It depends. When i take it out, usually drive it at rpm below vtec(80%). When i get the chance i drag race it between traffic lights (two maybe three times per week)and two or three times per year i race it in the track.
Most of my weekends i drive it on national roads or highways and more often in twisty mountain roads with very high pace. I prefer 'turning' the car rather than drag racing it.
I change the motor oil every 5.000kms and all the other fluids every 10.000kms.

when you "drag" race between traffic lights...are you launching the car, or do you just take off hard without launching?

When an Sti, evo, M3, Elise ect comes beside me and want a race i launch it ( depending on the tarmac) from 6.500 to 8.000 rpms and try to avoid too much wheel spin and clutch overheat. With less powerfull cars i launch it below vtec.

Then you got the chance to break things. It is the stress that breaks these items. It is known that even people with stock motors have broken these components.

its better you spin the tires or slip clutch.. its when those dont break free something has to take stress and thats when diffs break. i drive the same way have about 10k on my car with charger and so far so good

Slap on a set of drag slicks...rev to 9000rpm ('till you hear the whack whack whack against the rev limiter), and drop the clutch...
Repeat until your successful! Hop on the forums and bash the Honda drivetrain...success!
