Hey guys, is it true that OEM axles and diff, snap/brake after some miles with a s/c kit on? Is that a matter for the gearbox also? Am on the verge of buying a kit and a friend of mine told me such rumors. Is he right? What should i do?
It's not how hard you drive the car, but how you drive the car hard, that makes the biggest difference. I drive my car very hard, and do way too many burnouts, but have had zero problems with the stock parts backing up my SC/AC. Others have had reliablity problems with the clutch, diff, and axles, while running completely stock motors.

If your driving style is such that things break, the SC will help you break them sooner.

I'm not trying to skirt your question, but you are in the best position to judge whether or not you'll have problems after supercharging the car, becasue you know far more about your driving style than any of us.

If you want the Diff and Axles to last, don't ever side step the clutch; it's the initial shock that snaps/breaks things. If you're going to launch the car, just let the clutch out at a good speed with your foot staying on the pedal until full engagement. This helps to not shock things so badly.

The key to launching an S2000 or any car for that matter is preloading the clutch. Bring the pedal out just enough to where the car wants to pull forward then bring your RPM

Not sure what your trying to get at

If you're going to sit there doing hard launches, clutch dumps and basically just beating on your car like that, then you will probably end up damaging or breaking something... Otherwise you shouldn't have much to worry about as long as you stay on top of basic maintenance (i.e. fluids, etc..)
Wasn't this statement you made also common knowledge???

The OP asked a question I answered it.

Woah calm down there...

I wasn't picking on you for making the statement, nor was I picking on anything anyone else in this thread said... I was merely posting a question asking about why people in general don't seem to know/understand this stuff. I've seen some threads around where people are asking how to launch or why the diff breaks etc etc...

No need to get all defensive...my post wasn't meant to call you out or pick on your post for posting what you did.
