After all this, I'm pretty sure PB is in FAR to deep to crawl out. At what point does someone who owns their own operation give up?

Very mature way to deal with people.
Personally, I don't buy ANYTHING EVER that is not in stock. I don't trust ANY of these shops. Are some of them reputable? Absolutely. However, I am #1 and my safety (financial) is number one.
The reason why so many of these companies (360Forged, Mastergrade, ADV1, LoveFAB, PeakBoost, 50/50 Racing, Hennesey, etc) get away with this shit is because customers are pussies and LET themselves get assraped. Nobody does anything when their money gets hosed, so these companies just keep going.
On a side note, maybe some business education for our younger members and those who are not very part savvy...
1)NEVER EVER leave a deposit online for a product. When a contractor builds your house, and something goes wrong, you STILL HAVE/OWN the work already done, so the deposit paid for something. When you pay a company a deposit, how do you know when your product is done? How do you know when/if it will be shipped. As someone who deals with chargebacks on a daily basis, you have no recourse trying to get your money back. When the CC company tries to contract the vendor, the vendor will tell them it's a custom built piece made by craftsman and takes 300000 years to produce. Legally, they have NOT violated any agreements with you, because they did NOT give you a date. If you MUST ABSOLUTELY leave a deposit (I wouldn't) then have something in WRITING faxed to with ON A LETTERHEAD with an EXACT DATE OF SHIPMENT WITHIN 30 days. Don't fall for the online stores saying "well, we need a deposit to built it" crap. If they build it, and you back out, they still own the product and can sell it for full price, thus, no loss of revenue. The headache of a buyer backing out is nothing more than retail 101. Just ask anyone who works at the GAP who has to fold 600 sweaters a day from people who tried it on and didn't buy it.
2)ALWAYS use a credit card. If they don't take credit cards, then they are too poor of a company to provide you with any kind of service, and you will be SOL when you get ripped off. If they don't like it, go elsewhere. If you are LOCAL to say someone like PTUNING, and you PHYSICALLY hand over the car to them, then sure, use whatever payment you want, since you have SOME CONTROL because you can actually show up and check up on things. Otherwise, don't risk it. Too young for a credit card? Ask your parents.
3)Google the company EXTENSIVELY. There are tons of sponsors (I am NOT saying here) that have a stellar rep on one board, and are banned from 5 others (ADV1 and 360Forged as an example.) A company that has no physical address (some dude's garage) is not someone you should be dealing with when spending $5000 on a kit.
4)DO NOT GIVE SOMEONE more than 90 days to give you a VERY VERY VERY VERY good explanation why you don't have your parts. 99% of the time, it's total BS. If they DO have an EXPLANATION you APPROVE, tell them to refund your money, and PM/EMAIL/CALL you when the item is ready, and you will pay for it. DO SO INSIDE 90 days, or kiss your money goodbye. Hell, I would wait a MAX of one month for custom parts before I would blow your phone off the hook.
5)Vendors, do NOT take orders when you can't fill them in a month. If you can't fill them in one month, it means you bit off more than you can chew.
To our vendors here on s2ki, I hope you don't find this offensive, as most of you are pretty stand up companies with good established reps. Please continue your upstanding business practices and remember how quickly the online forum community can topple a company. Please treat your customers right, and you will have a prosperous business.
My name is Andy, and I own AMR Engineering. I sponsored a Evo X that Fox Marketing was putting together and Ken Peak sponsored the car as well. We started talking and decided to do a trade for some of my custom coilovers for a manifold setup for our Civic and Evo X. Well I sent him my brand new GT30R, Tial Housing, all the flanges needed, flex pipes, and more and he has not delivered. We both agreed last Tuesday was the latest I could wait for my manifold for our Civic because I need to get it running before I leave the country. He was super cool before all this, and after I gave him a few more extra days since I was out of town to call me I decided to call him. I have called him since late last week everyday! I don't owe him anything, and I know he didn't start on my manifold! I want the parts I sent him to mock up my manifold back!! I paid for those items with my hard earned cash, and again I don't owe the guy a dime. Not only did I post on his facebook page last night, but not even an hour later he deleted his facebook page. On top of that the number on his website has a full voicemail box. AND JUST 1 HOUR AGO HE HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER WAS DEACTIVATED. He also removed his address, and contact us page from his website. Luckily I have had my experience with manifold builders and saved all the e-mail, text, and other conversations we had. I also have the tracking number of the package when I sent him my turbo goodies. I just found this thread searching for google.
I want to let everyone know that the statue of limitation in Arizona is 3 years. The max amount you can sue for in small claims court is 2500 US Dollars. I contacted the Glendale police department this morning, and they informed me on the next step I need to make. Just a FYI for anyone else that might be waiting on parts that actually paid this guy money. Unfortunaltey I didn't pay him money, but he has my parts!! Expensive parts which my company needs to complete our vehicle. If this is not theft, I don't know what is! Here is the county you need to file in and there website!

Let's track this guy down. He has been in this business for a decade, and I have been in this busines even longer than him. So I know people that know him, and he will eventually come out of the woodwork. Luckily I have many customers and friends in Arizona and it will be just a matter of time. If you still have the time then contact your Credit Card Company ASAP!
It makes no sense to me for him to want this or go out of business. We were discussing his Evo X project, as well as new parts coming out, this makes no sense to me why he is doing this. I thought we were building a great business relationship and can help each other promote our businesses. Not sure why he chose this route, but it's definatley not the right one. What is worse is that I have been screwed by other manifold builders in this business, and we were talking about that as well as the other shady business practices in this scene..then he does this!! ****** hypocrite, what excuse could you possible have. You have my parts, send me my parts that don't belong to you since you could not hold up your end of the bargain.

If your waiting on parts or he has any of your belongings please pm me your full name, contact number, and what your missing ESPECIALLY IF YOUR IN ARIZONA!
Cable his welder stopped working for him about a week ago. He is definately trying to skip town and/or go into hiding.
I have already informed the police, and waiting for a officer to give me call today. I want to give him a list of people that are waiting on parts so he can see how many people this guy is leaving hanging. I have little doubt there is more than 50k or more that this guy is trying to run away with! I have not even hit up all the other forums to see who else is waiting on shit that have paid him. I have also found customers who have cracked manifolds that they sent him to repair that they have not received back.

I need everyone that was screwed by Peakboost to e-mail me at info@amrengineering.com with your invoice, copy of e-mails, copy of chats, all the evidence you have, I MEAN EVERYTHING. If you want any chance to putting him in jail or getting any of your money back, anything then you gotta help.
