Bad news
i nearly went with the sale of my car after most of my parts were stuck in customs with hefty duty and tax. But I had someone to motivate me and to go through it. She ended up paying my duty and customs on parts and Now I am in debt of over 3k with her and 1k to my ma but is it or was it worth it to go through the built I would say F*** YEHhh
bad luck seems to follow me and my s2000, i wanted to give up plenty of times, just the price you pay when making high hp, hopefully u fix the car and keep her, but if u dont hey thats the way it goes sometimes, anyway good luck
Thanks guys it just feels like never ending project. Everyone keeps telling me I'm so close but like tonysmi4 said you don't know how it feels and it's a f****** shitty feeling. Anyway I'm not gunna make any rash decisions just gunna put it to the side for now and not think about it for a few days. Yes redboost it was sleeved only real possibilities is that either the hg went or a sleeve dropped which I highly doubt but anythings possible. Thanks for the support guys will let yah know what I decide
I just went through an ordeal... not getting into details...but a afternoon job turned into a month of total crap...all my fault; but I know the feeling. BUT, I drove her home last night...big smile on my face the entire way! The feeling of beating it was so good it made up for the let downs.
Ive been thru two motors and three headgaskets. Its sucked but I will tell you this I can now wrench on my s2000 with my eyes closed. I am no longer scared of anything that breaks on my car and thats a great feeling in its self. Keep plugin at it and learn from it. The end result will be most gratifying.
Good luck man. I understand your pain. I wanted to go back to NA after I went insane with a simple turbo install and have had things not fitting and going wrong since day one. Im getting it together, but yet to even think about starting and see what that has in store for me. I still have a ways to go also.
Nah omalley we thought the same thing initially and then we thought oh ok maybe somehow a drop or 2 of coolant got into the motor somehow well let it burn out and then we realized there was no shot in hell, as we started to get into boost it looked as if I was Santa Claus shooting snow out of my tailpipe. Cuci591 thanks man but I work on cars and it's not so much learning or me being scared as it is more of an aggravating disappointing money pit. I knew it was one when I started this project but I thought it would end eventually. I'm probably gunna pull the head just to be certain what the problem is, if I keep it or not is another story. In my mind it's like how did this even happen, idk
