Here is how I made my template,
-put a thin layer of paint on the top rim of the pan
-flip it over onto cardboard
-trim the cardbooard into shape
-test fit and trim some more
-then trace it onto an aluminium sheet

It's not that hard once you start doing it.

PS: if i have to do it all over again and have a bit more time, I will incorporate some trap doors on the pan around the oil pick up.

How thick was the plate you guys used.??
And about the trap doors..What kind of? i cant picture them in my head...

About 2mm. Shouldn't be too thick but thick enough to weld.

Notice mine is set at an angle in the sump. The engine is on an angle so my baffle is effectively level. The Toda one is similar.
