Thumbs up Basic Bolt-ons...yes/no?

to the sc and tc...are the basic mods( Headers/intake/exhaste) a waste of money or are the increase in power worth while?

i've heard that the basics weren't all that effective on the f20c motor? true of flase? and how much improvement would be seen from a s2k with basics?

Most bolt on stuff will help so little you won't be able to the diffrence. Your best bets are gears, s/c, turbo or nos. But read up on the pros and cons of each. They are mostly obvious nos needs to be refilled and can have human errors. Gears will not be as pleasent on the freeway. S/C only makes good power high in the rpms. And i have heard turbos are harder to get setup properly (safely) but you need to consult some one with experience in turboed s2000 on that.

What's your definition of "worth the $$". That varies with everyone...

Bolt ons like header, throttle body and big exhaust make sense on a SC car.On a NA car you are looking at MAX 30whp when you buy the best NA parts out there. You will spend let me say 280USD on a AEM V2 intake, 1200USD on a Spoon (or any other good JDM brand ) header, t1R test pipe and some 2.5" single exhaust (t1R for 600USD)...SO you are looking at somewhere around 2000USD for this bolt ons. get a VAFC2, good for another 10whp under the curve. That's just as good as it gets in the NA world and makes a good start for a SC since everything but the intake will help the SC to produce more power. In NA on a ap1, I think 230whp is the roof...with a turbo, there is no roof he he

Any dynos to back up that statement?
For example:

SC + header
SC + exhaust
SC + test pipe
