Default Belt brand used?

For those of you who have gone with the 15 psi (which I only know a couple of guys but there may be other folks unlisted) on their vortech SC. What belt manufacturer did you go with?

It seems that when I dynoed, the boost was increasing till about 6,000 RPM's but after that the HP/torque line on the graph plummets right down which I suspect there is a boost leak somewhere possibly the belt is not holding. Everything else seemed to be in working order. I am running or attempting to run a 13.8" aluminum pulley built by ASP.

thanks

From my knowledge of another who runs that boost, the preferance is the Goodyear Gatorback. I bought one for my smaller pully and have not installed it yet as I am not sure I need more power.....yet.

I had a Napa belt on my 9lbs pulley and shedded it today. I just went and picked up a gaterback so I'll let you know how it does in a few days.

You know me It is just that I am still driving the car. The pulley I have is 4.375" verses the 4.5" I am running and the calculations show it should give me 28hp more. Now really, do I need 400 hp to the wheels for my commuter car?

Yes.

Yes.
shoot, if you dont need 400hp, them pass those ponies to me.

And Scorpion, defenitely let me know.

As far as I'm concerned I am running the smallest pulley that you can run (right on the verge) before it starts slipping.

I've used Dayco and goodyear in the past. I reved it to 9500rpm on the 3.8" pulley too.

Do you have a picture of the boost curve Venomous S?

If it's a belt slip you will see some boost spike. You can also tell from the sc whine. The sounds will reach a peak frequency at 6 krpm instead of a loud increasing frequency and amplitude all the way to 9krpm.
