Default Belt not on the pulley properly.. Pic attached

Hi guys,

The install is almost done. The belt isn't sitting right on the pulley though. When I put the pulley on the shaft I noticed there was about 5mm left between the pulley and the Base of the SC.. I thought it would sort it's self out. The pulley will not go further down the shaft though, I may need to press it somehow.. Does anyone have any ideas?

Could I space the supercharger outwards by putting washers being the bushes?

I also haven't installed the ESM yet but haven't been driving above 3000rpm to a friend's garage, will this be a problem?

Hard to tell by the pic but you may have 1 or more pulleys on backwards. See if so and if you can flip them around. I assume the belt is on all the other pulleys correctly?

Looks like a Novi 1000 blower? Did that SC pulley come with your kit? Are you sure its a pulley made for the Novi 1000 because the ones made for the Novi 1200/1220 are different.

Thanks guys.

So today I put about 0.5cm of spaces behind the bushes to bring the pulley out from the block. When i cranked it over though the belt went to the exact same place again! I can't make sense of it.. I've also flipped the belt and you can see that it's not sat on the tensioner properly and has scored by belt in both directions. Can anyone spot anything wrong?

I was assured this pulley was for the N1000

Cheers.

Something isn't right with the sc pulley. You can see that you are still hanging off the front of the sc pulley but starting to hang off the back of the tensioner pulley because of the spacers you used.

Hi,

The belt snaps back to the same position with or without the spacers. I have taken the spacers off now and it's still the same. The SC pulley doesn't have a guide for some reason. But it should still align tight? Is my pulley the right way around? Does the crank pulley look OK?
