Default Belt slippage damage?

So im new to the S/C f/i world, and after getting on my car a little today came home and heard a clunking, Turns out my belt had gotten damaged and frayed. Is this due to an old belt, just too loose, Should I replace the belt right away or think I could just tighten it?

Here is a shot of what I cut off the belt after it being frayed.

My next question is where can I get a stock belt for the comptech?

Nope, It seems like the belt jumped a notch on the pulley and part of it was off the pulley and wore it down

pretty sure its the stock pulley and i think it has teeth.. I gotta check it out a little better tomorrow it was kinda getting dark when I realized it, I did a few hard pulls and came home and heard the strand off the pully smacking around.

i had that happen to me as well. You need to make sure you readjust the belt, as it'll stretch over time and jump off the pulley. After it jumps, itll wrap itself around the crank or belt system.

Just don't make it too tight as you can destroy the bearings in your blower if you make it too tight.
