Best clutch disc replacement
I noticed today while I had the clutch off the car that one of my pucks is loose on my competition stage 4 clutch. I'm right around 500hp and 360 torque.
I am wondering if there is a better clutch disc to get instead of the comp. It seems that some people have been having issues. I found this act disc. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACT-Race-Clu...5f3d7f&vxp=mtr
I have a comp lightened flywheel and a comp pressure plate.
Just looking for something that will work with my combo of parts and hold the power as well as my comp clutch did.
Also on another note, is it a good idea to get the flywheel resurfaced and the pressure plate?

Pressure plate typically can not be resurfaced. flywheel should with care taken to make sure the step is maintained. This means they will have to pull the dowel pins from the flywheel.
You are right on the edge of an organic disk holding up. If you do any drag racing then I would suggest an act 6 puck solid hub disk. We do have one of our solid hub organic disks available, but that wont hold up long if you are doing any drag racing. For generally street driving it'll hold up no problem.
I'd probably replace that pressure plate. I'm not sure if Comp will repair them or not. Might be worth a shot to give them a call.

The unsprung organic disk will be easier to drive than the sprung pucked disk.
I dont like springs because we see a lot of cars come in with clutch issues related to the springs breaking away from the disk.

Any other advice on if I can reuse my pressure plate? Only has 12-15k on it. I don't think I can buy a comp pressure plate separately.
Also comp might work with me to replace the clutch. Waiting to hear back from them.

great, so you can have to do another clutch job in only 12-15k? I wouldn't use their replacement, imo.
