Another vote for the autometer gauge. The color and texture are pretty close to oem and fitment is great. I too removed the oem pillar and used double sided tape to hold it

It sounds like you aren't wanting to cut or drill into your OEM pillar. If that's the case, then you should go ahead and just get the Autometer unit. People have seemed to have the most success in using the Autometer unit as a direct swap replacement for the OEM pillar.

I have the SOS pod as well and fitment is pretty crappy.

i had to modify my oem pillar to have the SOS cover on and fitment is still whack. if there are ways to do a direct replacement for a cleaner look, i'd rather do that. leaning towards autometer as of now

ok so i ended up purchasing the autometer gauge and i'd have to say, i'm more satisfied with this than the SOS.

from comparison, the autometer is slightly smaller in the pod area so more road can be seen. i was able to use double stick tape to swap over the vent attachment.

i'm still unsure how you double tape the gauge pod itself to the top portion of the plastic trim. i'll probably end up drilling a hole as someone stated before and using 1 clip

I use the SOS as a direct replacement. Fitment is good, but not perfect.

here's a comparison of the SOS and the autometer side by side. i can actually see majority of the left side of the windshield again with the autometer!

i'll get additional photos of how it looks when it's mounted
