Either E85 or Q16.

Please don't treat e85 like its a race fuel, because its not. It just happens to have a higher octane rating but you need twice as muscho of it. I wouldn't consider 105 octane to be anywhere near a "race fuel" anyway. c16 for most q16 if your injectors can handle it.

Thanks for the input, but heres more detail to my noob questions:

1. I notice different s2k users here recommending various fuels instead of one common type- is this more of a preference or more bc you are relating it to your specific engine build that is best for you?

2. If the last statement is true, imagine my s2k was yours instead of the one you have now... Would your fuel recommendation stay the same and why? (I have a mase turbo kit with 725cc injectors at 430whp on completely stock internals and exhaust)

3. According to where i stand at 430whp, With a new calibration and right tune, What kind of power increase can I expect to get from these fuels you guys recommended so far (e85,e98,q16,etc)(ballpark figure).

Be aware that VP 109 is only 105 octane when doing your calculations.

VP Import will give you the biggest kick but it does have lead.

You can't run E85 on 725cc injectors. You'll need >1000cc.

i dont understand why people dont like e85. shit is like magic juice. yes you need more of it, but its cheaper so in the long run you pay about the same as premium unleaded, but can run way more power then on pump 93.

yes you get worse mileage, but again, price per mile is about on par with pump 93.

run way more boost, run more timing, make more power. and in most cases can get it at a pump local to you.

fullblown i think was running e85 and he did 740+whp on a jet on a stock s2k motor. motor failed when he kept pushing it and then something else failed that took the motor, if i remember right.

hell look at what bennsi has done with it.

biggest problem with it is you need more of it. so bigger injectors, and more pump. big deal.

But to be fair, volume of burn means nothing for performance. Top fuel dragsters burn gallons per mile.

Also the increased charge cooling with alcohol and quicker spool with higher exhaust volume make E85 a pretty good casual turbo track fuel.

you should get whatever race gas that is easily accessible. If there are a lot of E85 station or live near a E85 station then it is practical to go with E85. However if there are none in your area then VP race gas or C16 or q16 is your option.

It also depend how often you drive and what you intend to do. C16 gets fairly expensive if you drive it a lot. Also it is leaded gas.

The good thing about E85 is that you can DD it without hurting your pocket too much but get the enjoyment of the increase in power

The mpg suck but it is also a lot cheaper than C16. E85 goes around 2.60 to 2.80 whereas C16 can go as high as 12 to 14 dollar per gallon.

If you think about it, if you put race gas in your car, who the hell think about MPG. haha.

he asked about race fuel. e85 isn't race fuel. just sayin. When pushing for big power I don't trust shit that comes out of a pump. It may cost more but you gotta pay to play.
