Default best radiator for comptech sc

was driving home this afternoon from family function took the scenic route twisty and stopped for a cold beverage and smelled coolant pop hood and i have a 1.5 inch crack bellow filler neck. thank god i stopped when i did as it hadnt got hot or lost much coolant so 35 miles top down with the heater set to blast and made it home car never got hot i can say the low temp thermostat and fan switch probably saved me so if i go with an all aluminum radiator which one has the best track record any of them fit with stock fan shroud and supercharger or are low profile fan shroud a must all so will i need to put the stock thermostat back in or will it still get up to temp? car ran 180-195f as it is stock 205-220 im in texas and it was 107f today any good advice would be appreciated thanks. oh and car has novi 1000 at 6psi free flowing exhaust high flow cat and oil cooler if any of that makes a difference

Its been 100deg+ in georgia the other week. I've had zero issues running a Koyo aluminum radiator with stock fans. I am running 90/10 water to coolant and a bottle of Amsoil Dominator Coolant Boost. Im also running a SOS stage 2 kit at 12.5psi.

I'm a fan of mishimoto due to the fact that their lifetime warranty even covers accidents. Been through the process and isn't a hassle. Got my radiator, fans and shroud replaced for $50 "shipping".

yeah they are all the same radiators with different branding. Get the cheapest one off ebay if you want the best deal. I've seen no namers go for a little over $100. I got a Full Blown from ebay for $200.

I recommend the Koyo for maximum reliability. I'll let you do your own research on the other brands and their performance/reliability. One of the others mentioned has a poor track record. IMO, don't go cheap. Do it right, do it once. Go cheap, and you could be looking at a new engine if the raditor fails again. Also, to me, time is money. And another failed radiator could leave you on the side of the road with a big towing bill. So all that money you thought you saved up front, well, there it goes. Just my opinion of course

My understanding is they are all made at the same Chinese plant and are the same design. So reliability is the same if you were to buy one that says Moshimoto on it, Full Blown or nothing. The name branded on the unit will give you the reputation of the seller and their warrantee graces however. As long as the radiator you are buying has a warrantee your comfortable with, then that’s the best you can do. No reason to spend any more money then you have to for the same product. My buddy chose to spend $300 on a Moshimoto, and I chose to spend $200 on a full Blown, both warranted and both the same exact radiator.

does the koyo need a special radiator cap and will my stock fans come even remotely close to fitting with the comptech air box duct going to the supercharger? thanks for all the input
