Default Best turbo setup for quickest spool...

I am still on the fence on going SC or Turbo...

I am wondering what would be the best kit as far as the quickest spool to reach around 350rwhp. I will be completely fine with 350-400. I am just taking recommendations and suggestions. Thanks everyone for the help...

Would a SC be a better fit for what I'm trying to reach?

It's all about budget and upgradability (which really depends on budget as well). To answer your question, the Mase 5857 kit would be a good turbo choice for your power goals.

If you go S/C, the Vortech kit is a good choice to reach your power goal. It also has room for upgradability.

Mase kit with the ball bearing 5857 spools really fast. I love it

Any of them will get you there. A greddy kit probably spools the fastest but you won't get over 320whp.

The biggest plus I can say for a supercharger is there is less maintenance involved usually.

Do a Divided GT3076................. Is it overkill? maybe, but would feel like a 2,900lb V12 off the line

Divided are to help any size turbo spool faster. Evo's, JDM STis, Mini Coopers, GM Ecotec's, they all use divided turbos.

As for you power goal, a GT3071 would do the trick. A GT2871 might get there, but the 3071 would do so with less stress.

They have divided T3 housings for the GT30, but honestly there shouldn't be too much difference between a standard and divided GT30.

You say that the Vortech SC is great for upgradability... but what would say when comparing the Vortech kit to the SOS stage 1? When upgrading EITHER of these kits, which will yield more power with less strain on the S2K? Which kit will be less expensive in the short and long run? I have heard that reliability with the turbo is a beeeotch, which Is why I may be leaning more towards going blown. Still deciding though.

thanks for all of the replys people, it really does benefit checking this forum often!
