I just hit mine with a regular water hose and it gets most of the bugs off fairly easily. Try this and see what happens, it wont hurt the fins. Dont use a pressure washer though.

The Precision intercoolers are very fragile but others like the PWR have a very heavy fin on the front side and a smaller denser fin in the rear.

Thanks for all the answers guys.

Jim, I think I will buy two of those tools and give one to each of my kids They always want to help me wash the car, might be a good start.

Mrgsr: I drove 8k miles from Florida to California and back (going through Colorado. Its supercharged though (Kraftwerks) so no heat problems. Not sure what the oil temperatures were, I just drove
From San Diego to Las Vegas I was seeing 105-118 outside temps on the cluster gauge!

I have a hot tank at work, but not big enough. I might try to fit one half and then place the other half in it. I'll then hit it with the hose and finish it off with that tool.

Do you remove the intercooler or you hose it off from the front? I am afraid it will push the bugs further in ... J

I hose it from the front but I usually wait until the bugs have dried real good after a few days. This way they will break up easier and fall apart when spraying the fins and wont get stuck inside.

Yep, I was refering to the pressure washer, I also have a Precision and I am cautious around its fins. The PWR that I am selling with my IP kit has a much heavier steel front row of fin.
