Default best way to connect mac solenoid

So I just received my mac solenoid with the mounting bracket the other day. Were do you guys usually install this? As the wires on the solenoid are not very long do you mount it near the aem ems or do you splice the wire to a longer wire to connect the ems? I tried looking around and cant really find too much on it.

Extend the wires and either connect direct to your ecu d block connector Or to a boost gauge.

Well one of them has to run to the aem ems or else how is it going to control boost?

It doesn't need to goto the ems.

You can wire it directly to your boost controller (AEM style) and connect the vacuum lines to the waste gate to control boost.

No where in his post does he reference an aem style boost controller but he does reference an aem ems. In order to control boost with an aem ems u need to wire to the d plug.

Yeh Camuman sorry my answer was not great.

Best cheapest way is too hook it up to the ecu, directly via the d block connector for your aem. IF you had a boost controller you could also hook it up to that.

AND to explain my reference to a gauge, thats my familiarity with the aem tru boost. A controller/gauge that comes with a boost solenoid.
