Default Better quality Turbo..Garrett or Precision?

Just purchased new inline pro tubular manifold turbo kit!!!! Thanks Chris@Inline!!Finally stepping up my game...I know Precision is rebuildable but then again i havent really heard of people having a blown Garrett. how but other benefits?(e.g. Faster spool between the two?)or drawbacks between them?also what size would be good on a built block 9:1 compression for 650-700 h.p.? Thanks in advance for any info

i've read on hondatech that someone gained 25whp or so by switching to garrett. supposedly same turbo specs.
plus why rebuild a turbo it costs close to a new one.

for the power levels you want you should be looking in to a gt40r or something t4

Precision turbos are Garrett turbos with modified intake and exhaust housings for the most part... That's about the only difference to the best of my knowledge. Maybe Chris at Inline can chime in.

100% of Precision turbos use Garrett's CHRA's (this includes the bearings, wheels and everything) . The only thing Precision manufactures are the housings. And there pretty much just replicas of the Garrett housings in most cases. As far as journal and bushing bearing turbo's go, the housings are going to be almost identical to Garrett's. When it comes to GT series housings, Garrett's are going to be a bit better flowing but its probably not going to be that noticeable of a comparison.

They both have the same re-build ability as they both share the same CHRA.

I am a big supporter of precision due to their amazing customer service. Their general tech and warranty/repair services make things nice if u ever need it.
