I run the MT ET Streets and they are some of the best tires I have ever had. They hook over 650whp no problem on the street in my car. I run almost 600whp in 2nd gear and it even hooks that.

I have no doubt, I've heard similar stories, but I'm not looking for a drag tire per say, I lost 1st gear already in my last tranny, and I am still on a stock rearend, so "some" sliding in 1-2 is ok with me.

It's te 80mph+ in 4th gear that is a concern for me, lol.

If these tires fix that, and still don't break the bank, and allow me to continue the car as a fun cruiser, weekend warrior, I will be ok.

Sounds like you need to turn the power down.

My 275/50/15 555r were actually narrower than my 255/40 rt615k

FWIW there are ppl in the evo world that autoX with ET street radials. At the dsm/evo Shootout you have to run the same tire for 1/4 and autoX so they choose this tire.

How bout an out of thbox thought. Swap the rear for a 3.90 or 3.63 gear. That plus the Toyo ra1 and you should be fine for the power you want. Part of your problem is the crazy short gearing of an ap2.

Well the RT 615's, have been on the car since summer 2008. They have a good amount of tread in fact, but they are hard now.

So it's not really based on power at this point, as much as the tires are shot.

I'm on boost by gear, and have it setup, for 13#'s in 1st & 2nd, and 3rd is 15#, and 4th is 18#, which I think is right around 600. So yea, I could turn it down a bit, but to this day, I've never had it out on full boost.

This summer I'd like to try it, lol.
