Default Black painted supercharger (SOS)

I really like the look of the SoS blower. Mine looks like it went through a war, scratched up from two other owners.

Is the process of painting it pretty much the same as a valve cover? Sand, sand some more, and hit it with high temp engine enamel?

If anyone who's painted a blower or turbo could chime in, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Wow, you got a SOS kit with two previous owners! Their kit hasn't been out that long has it?
I would love to find a used AP2 kit somewhere.
Sorry, i can't help you with the paint.

yeah, i'd like to tone down the chrome a bit too. i don't like the added attention every time i open the hood with that big shiny centrifugal charger sitting there in the engine bay...

Powdercoat is probably not the way to go with something that heats up.

You want to check out HPC or JetHot

Thanks Boofster, I sent them a quote request. I would much prefer to do this at home ($$, plus the DIY satisfaction factor) , but I'd need more input on exactly which type of paint and prepping process to use.

I asked for a request on the front cover like SOS, and the entire blower + mount. I'll get back to you guys with their quoted price.
