Blown Ap1 Engine...what next?
Well the unfortunate happend and I blew my AP1 engine due to the wastegate vacuum line melting resulting in overboosting to who knows how much psi.
I would ideally like to find another AP1 motor for a few reasons:
- 9000 redline I do favor...
- It would be a plug and play situation with my tune...
- wouldnt have to find another ECU...
AP2 Pros and cons:
- More torque resulting in getting to boost quicker/less lag
- lower stock redline? (not sure if you can safely resume 9000 redline)
- Is the .2L enough to need bigger injectors again? I have 600cc
- Would my AP1 transmission gearing work well with this motor?
Anyone have any input to this decision? I found an AP2 Motor for cheap but I dont know if its worth the hastle?

What are "Laskey"s contacts? I would get it rebuilt but up here they charge an arm and a leg. My b-series motor I supplied the sleeved block, pistons, rods, head and all he did was put new bearings, gaskets, and do a valve job with new springs and the bill racked up to around $4200.

Anyone have any input as to which motor is actually better for turbo app? I'm kind of caught up between the two as to which one to run. Will I have to get the AP2 ECU? I currently have a AP1 ECU + Greddy Emanage. Also is the ECU wiring any different on AP2?

Checked it out, didnt say a whole lot other than the rpm limit which is obvious. I'm just wondering about ignition timing more than anything. Fuel Curve I can play with but if my ignition curve is all outta wack it would be a mess correcting it all in E-manage
