Default Blown headgasket?

Wanted to get some thoughts before I take it to the mechanic.

2006 International model
Stage 2 SOS Tuner Kit
Mishimoto radiator + racing fans
3.6 pulley

Recently upgraded from a 4.4 to a 3.6 inch pulley. During the tune we couldn't get more than 10psi (3.6 pulley should be 13psi on my car). Tuner said we have a boost leak. After lots of testing we determined it's probably the bov. The car was tuned to 8psi.

Replaced the bov diaphragm and spring (went from 1.5psi to 3psi spring, bov is tial qrj.) wanted to record a log for the tuner and did a couple of pulls red lining in 3rd gear.

Came to a stop light afterwards and I can see white smoke coming out of the hood, driver side. Then started overheating shortly after. Temp gauge was at 10 bars instead of the normal 8. Luckily this was close to home so I drove for a few minutes more and parked.

Popped the hood open, and can see white smoke coming from the intake manifold. Coolant reservoir is sitting at the max line. Let it cool down a bit and turned on again. Few minutes in I can see the temp gauge going up and again white smoke and what smells like burning coolant right between the intake manifold, under the injectors. I cannot see any hoses leaking, my hoses have all been replaced recently with new oem rubber. I pulled the oil dip stick and it doesn't look milky.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, sounds like it is a head gasket. The full reservoir is kind of a smoking gun.

Not full. It's half way full at the max line indicator where it should be. Haven't opened the radiator cap will check tomorrow.

I’ve heard of this same thing happening when a radiator cap goes bad.

You need to run a compression test and you will have your answer.

Oof. Turned out to be just a coolant hose. The one under the intake manifold. Was split open in a way that was very hard to see and any coolant drops wouldn't even reach the floor. Also I didn't suspect any hose issues as I replaced all my coolant hoses a month ago with brand new oem rubber. **** I'm so happy. But a brand new hose splitting in a month is concerning.

Took us 4 hours to replace because I didn't want to remove the SC! Bitch ass hose

A radiator pressure test too. Those leaks can be sneaky and they don’t always show in compression test.

Used an oem clamp with a silicone hose. It was the only one we had laying around that fit.

The old hose was split right under the clamp and the crack was facing the engine. And since it's under the intake manifold, I could only see one side of the hose opposite the split. Super sneaky and the way it was dripping made it seem like the engine block itself was leaking smoke.

That’s fantastic news! Pain in the butt to swap, but not a head gasket.
