Yeah the R200 is def. 4.09 - I think the turbo one is longer. I wonder if that diff would work.

I didn't think about the rest of the OEM stuff, you'd definitely get a lot for all that.

I think people go with the R200 diff to get the lower FD. Anyways, I am not sure when I'd do this conversion because money is getting pretty tight. Once I get my S back, I will have already spent over $13,000 this year on mods! I need to chill a bit, as hard as it is. From here I plan on doing the returnless to return fuel system conversion. This will be relatively inexpensive. I also purchased a inlinePRO 3mm headgasket, and intend on having that installed when I have my head built. Hopefully that will happen this early this year.

More than likely the conversion won't happen until next year, but you never know.

Wow - 13K already? Money is tight for me atm too, I have too much going on elsewhere besides my car so I've been working my ass off lately. I'm in school full time, and working 3 part time jobs around 5 or 6 days a week. I'll have to see how money goes as well before I do the diff stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to set up a group cryotreating sometime and get a good rate on that.

I'm running 4.57s right now with 360rwhp and I think its perfect, personally. Its not too short and they definatly arn't too long. Although my first gear just spins, I haul ass through 2+ gear.

However, over the summer when I shoot for the 500 club, I'll be ditching the 4.57s and getting a R200 diff + diff kit.

If your looking to gear the car you might want to look into 4.44 because you have an AP2. An AP2 with 44.4 gears is just about equal to an AP1 with 4.57 Spec has 4.57. If you go with a 4.57 in a AP2 if would be almost equal to a AP1 with 4.77....With the upgraded power like I said if anything I would only go 44.4 on a AP2.

I can't imagine my car with 4.57s or 4.77s. I'd wouldnt have traction in 4th gear.

My car burns them up in 3rd, that's 4.57 gears and about 303hp, I want to go 4.44 if not back to a cryo-treated stock, I also want to get an AP2 tranny which will make 1-4 shorter and 5 and 6 good for gas,

Sounds like AP2s would have a harder time w/ 4.57 gears since they are 1000 rpm short
