Thumbs down Boost controller

Hey guys I just added a manual boost controller on my car. I just drove around to see if I can tune the boost controller and i'm having trouble. At 4.5rpm when i'm flooring it, I get this huge jerk. When I lightly press the pedal I can easily go above 4.5 and keep going. My tuner told me that I have a boost cut at 10lbs. Any ideas?

Thanks

yah, he set a boost cut in your ecu. What ecu are you using? He set it so if you are going to go over 10 pounds it cuts off. Reason it is at 4.5k rpms is because that is when you are about to see more than 10lbs of boost.

Hrmm thats what I thought. I'm running AEM EMS. No matter how much I change the dial it still limits me when I floor it.

Take the MBC off, you probably installed it wrong, or have it set up wrong also why a Boost Cut at 10PSI?, I think that's overkill on this motor, maybe 11 or 12PSI to allow for momentary spiking etc..............

I don't want to go over 10psi because I don't have a headgasket.

Could the spring rate on the boost contoller be set to high and your keeping your wg shut for to long and possibly getting a huge boost spike. Try lowering it and see if that helps. Turn it all the way down and see what happens.

I've lowered it all the way, still gets cut when I floor it. I'm pretty sure I installed the boost controller correctly. There are arrows on the boost controller that point which way it should be directed to the wastegate actuator.

If it's an Ebay $15 MBC, throw it out. It's one 'click' between max boost and stock spring boost. They're garbage.
