boost controller/turbo timer & exhaust question
Based on your opinion, what is a good unit out there that is an electronic boost controller and a turbo timer in one?
I need both, and I'm looking for an all-in-one unit under 500$.
any suggestions (and maybe pics to go with it?)

and on a side note, I finally switched my oem exhaust and installed a single exhaust (3inch piping all the way through) for my mase kit.
It hasn't been tuned yet, but I took it out for a run and it felt amazing with no problems.
anyway, a few days passed and all of a sudden I noticed that when Im accelerating aggresively on high boost (or when the boost goes past 13psi) the exahaust "put-puts" and the boost just gives up like a sudden stall. The exhaust even backfired once. All my gauges are reading fine and no ecl comes on, and engine seems visually fine; so does this just mean it needs to be tuned or is this something more serious?
Reason I'm not sure it has to do with the tune is because I figured it would've had theis problem even on the day I tested it out after I installed it, or no?
hopefully, its just a tune issue, but im worried it might be something worse. your knoweldge and expertise of these issues always help!

By changing exhaust, you have changed the fueling. You may be running really lean now that you have a free-flowwing exhaust. You really need to get retuned before you push it hard. Turbo probably spooling very quickly now and hitting boost cut or lean cut.
You have freed up the exhaust a lot and the turbo will spool better and make more power. Your AFR may not look different, but your fueling needs have more than likely changed and it needs a new tune.

You don't have to retune the only difference will be spool time. It's should spool faster with less back pressure and if you readings are the same which they should just leave it alone. I like aem tru boost
well i obviously cant leave it alone because theres a problem there that needs to be fixed.
hey spectacle- no, i wouldn't say that but boost just literally cuts off and the exhaust ends up making that "put-put" noise really loud- and then it loses power extremlely- and this all happens very suddenly.
it only happens when im boosting PAST 13psi, OR when i spool up very quickly. it sounds horrible
but when driving normally or spooling very gradually without flooring it it seems fine
