Well it's spooling up quicker now since you've freed up the exhaust.

What management are you using? If you're using a piggy back or even Flashpro, then when you first install something the car may be fine, but it'll start to relearn itself (via o2 feedback) and attempt to adjust.

Sometimes those adjustments are for the worse though.

hey spectacle- no, i wouldn't say that but boost just literally cuts off and the exhaust ends up making that "put-put" noise really loud- and then it loses power extremlely- and this all happens very suddenly.

it only happens when im boosting PAST 13psi, OR when i spool up very quickly. it sounds horrible

but when driving normally or spooling very gradually without flooring it it seems fine
That sounds similar to a situation I had, problem was vacuum lines came off wastegate
