Default Boost problem

I have recently installed a Vortech on my 04 S2000. I added a boost gauge this weekend and realized I cannot go over 0 ppsi, or atmosphere. This problem exists at all RPM's. Per tech advice I was given today, I inserted the set screw on the BOV three turns. I did notice that the set screw was very easy to turn in, and I was able to do it by hand. This did not correct the problem. I am thinking that the diafram in the BOV may be leaking by, causing the valve to be forced open when the supercharger reached atmospheric pressure. I am running at idle with 20-21" of vacuum. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

are you sure the gauge works? how does your car run? I would say pressure test but not sure how to set it up on these cars

I tested the gauge before I installed it. It works fine.

i dont get it. Does the gauge not read the boost or is your car not boosting?

Does the car feel substantially faster above 6000 rpm? If it does, the problem is the gauge. If not the problem is the car.

I don't think the car is boosting. Though I did feel a little more power, but thats because the car is seeing 0psi vice vacuum. The car doesn't feel like it is going to 7psi though.

A N/A car will see 0 psi at wide open throttle. Unless the BOV was stuck open it's not causing a 7psi pressure drop.

Did you check to see if the belt is tight or even has one still on the pulleys?

The belt is fine. How could I determine if the valve is stuck open?

Unbolt it from the aftercooler and look so see if the valve is of the seat. I'd bet it's not.
