Boost s2k ignition issues
Ignition timing is correctly set and the tuner has tried increasing (within safe limits) to solve the problem. It might help mention that if the dwell was increased we saw the problem start to go away. Im talking like the normal dwell is 2m/s we were up at 7 m/s and it started going away.. this is why I think its the coil packs.
plugs are at .24 maybe we should gap down, even those 7psi is really low....
Im reading up on the BAS now...

dropped in a set of RSX coils. I hope thats the issue. I would really like to increase to 13 psi... 7psi doesnt do it justice at all. but it is quicker than most s2k's around my area.
I've been trolling the internet pretty hard about this.
I finally got around to taking the car to the dyno to be tuned.
the dyno was a load bearing dyno, so we would set the load then make pulls adjust each row as needed rinse and repeat.
My issue is, under a load that you would typically see while in 5th or 6th gear around 7k the car beings to act like its having spark blowout. plugs type are br8eix gapped at .24, MY wastegate spring is set for 7psi. I dont think my plug gap is the issue. It literally feels like the car hits some sort of ignition retard at 7k through 9k. The next thing im going to do is swap my coilpacks out. i have a set from an 04-05 RSX that i have researched will work for the ap1.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
car specs
turbonetics 72-68/1.00ar

I recently worked on a car with "ignition" issues at 7K and above. It was actually the EMS pulling timing in response to Knock events. I'm not sure why you would have this problem at 7psi, but if you timing is not Sync'd (using a timing light during setup), or is far to aggressive, it could be what you are feeling. This assumes Knock Control is activated on the EMS.
