Default Boost switch and boost by gear with flashpro?

I know on flashpro you can only run one map/calibration at a time, but can you have add a switch to go from low boost to high boost without changing the calibration? Also can you do this and also have boost by gear?

PS posted this in Engine Management forum, but thought I might get some more feedback here.

Yes you can wire a open/closed switch into the boost control solenoid power wire.

Now this is only going to activate/deactivate the solenoid which means you'll be running on wastegate spring pressure when its OFF, so no BBG.
When its ON the solenoid will operate as normal off the boost control duty cycle tables.

So if your already tuned to your max psi cutoff running BBG this will not require any changes to your map.

Not exaclty what it sounds like your trying to do but its the closest you'll get as far as I know.

That clears things up. Now the question I have also is, if you get your car tuned for a certain psi then turn the boost controller off and run off the wastegate is that safe? Since you had it tuned to lets say 17psi, and your wastegate spring is lets say 8psi. Is that safe since your tuned for 17psi not 8psi?

Depends how your car was tuned. Hopefully your car was tuned at some lower boost levels besides just 17 psi or else the answer is no. I think it's important to tune different boost levels on a turbo car, because you don't want to be running pig rich or very lean if you're partial throttle at 8 psi for example..

Yes it will be safe to run on 8psi as it has to tuned through out the map for the car to run correctly. At least thats what my tuner did and I have flash pro with high and low switch.
