Default boosted s2kers on E85...

For everyone boosted on E85,

what did you end up paying for the entire conversion
for all parts, installation labor, tune, and dyno time?

what kind of fuel system and parts (pump, injectors, etc...)
did you end up going with and how is it running for you?

Reason:
I am a week away from an E85 conversion.
I've received a quote from a good shop at around 2500$!
this is for parts, the installation labor, tune, and the dyno time.
Is this ridiculous or does this sound about right?

Sounds about right with labor and tune included.

Inlinepro return kit - 900
ID 2000cc injectors - 500
Full blown dual hanger and extra walbro - 400

$1800 just for parts already then factor in tune and labor

how is it running for you?

the shop I went to recommended I go with the bosch fuel pump running with the walbro I have now, and also stay with the 1000ccs instead of an extra walbro pump and 2000's...

no point in going e85 if u stick with the 1000cc injectors.. u need something like 30-40% more fuel to create the same power..

Where are you seeing ID2000's for $500? They are like 2xx a piece, lol.

x4 = mucho dinero.

Except w the Bosch you can run increased fuel pressure, so you can use the id1000ccs to make 500+ w fuel rail and adjustable fpr

i think the better question to find out if it is a good deal, what all is included in the $2500?

So bosch inline 044 (~$200), do you already have the inlinepro return kit (i'm guessing no, so ~$750 for that)? That comes with an inlinepro fuel rail, so you would need a weldon fpr (~$250). And then misc. fuel lines and install and tune for the other $1250?

OR

if it's going to be next week, just get the aeromotive 340 lph drop in pump and maybe that will do it

Yes- the only reason. I'm maxing out the 58/57 I have,
and I'm also leaving a good fuel system foundation for a possible full-out build a year or two from now.
