Default BOV releasing when accelerating...HELP!

A little back round on my set up:

- Greddy bolt-on turbo kit
- Greddy RS BOV
- Greddy EBC
- Hondata K-Pro
- BERK HFC
- OEM exhaust

I took my S out for a quick spin the other day and noticed while accelerating at high RPM's that my bov valve was releasing in short spurts, without shifting. It doesn't sound as loud as it does when shifting gears at higher RPM's but instead much softer but still noticeable, while in gear. Although it sounds kinda cool I wonder why it may be doing this?

I have been in other turbo cars before and have never heard a bov release while accelerating. I have also owned a high hp turbo Honda and have never heard anything like this before. This is the only internally gated turbo set up I have ever driven so I wonder if this is normal?

Any thoughts as to why this is happening, and should I be concerned?

Tighten up the BOV if it is indeed leaking...

I've checked the BOV and it's on tight, gasket in place as well!

He meant the spring.....loosen the lock nut on the top of the bov, turn the threaded shaft clockvise I believe using alan key, retighten the nut.

Thanks

Does anyone know how far down the threaded screw should go? I went out to play with it and it seem to be tight already. I proceeded to unscrew the 10mm bolt and used the allen key to start turning down the screw, I only gave it a few turns but it seems like it keeps going? Anyone know how far down it should go?

Thanks again!

it should go down until it you hear it stop leaking under accel, but if you do it too much you'll hear compressor surge. It'll take some trial and error, to get it in the sweet spot.

It will go until it stops. Tighten it a little at a time until it flutters, and then back it down a turn.
