Hi, I want to make a custom turbokit but I can't decide between the Garret gt28rs turbo or the Greddy T518Z turbo.

I'm not looking for big numbers, just a little more than stock

I prefer Greddy because its JDM but which is the best in quality?

you know greddy doesnt use greddy turbos right

 

a 28RS is pretty small for the S. I have on on my 1.8T Audi and it makes 22 psi before 3500 RPM in all gears. With a higher CR and higher displacement its going to run out of steam on the S. I have the smaller A/R, so at least go with the larger A/R if you are dead set on this turbo. I would still reccomend a larger GT series turbo than the RS.

 

The the gt28rs is perfect for you. You will have very quick spool up and tremendous midrange power.

 

It usually runs out of steam shortly after vtec ...in the 7000rpm range on most setups. The GT3071 is pretty small and maintains a fairly linear powerband. I have about 3-4psi at around 2,500rpm's which is enough to get me moving and easily pass.

 

i prefer Garret over greddy(Mitsubishi) turbos

-Custom made manifold (full-race tyle)
-Custom made IC piping
-76mm downpipe

Is it a good setup for a little extra ?

greddy just revealed a turbo kit for the 2006 s2000 you could check out the details of their kit. might save you some time and money

 

is it on their website? I only found the EVO2 exhaust listed.
