Default Breaking 15psi

EDIT: (Semi new topic) I need help on prices...

Yes, yes, I know this subject has been beat to death over and over again. But I'm not asking how I can do it. I'm asking for a list, which I'll help start and everyone fix and add to it (including prices and materials).

I want to break 15psi with my inline pro kit. I'm only running 5psi now.

Things I need to proceed:

AEM EMS 1052 ($1,xxx)
3mm or 2mm headgasket (don't know which one would be better) ($xxx)
Head studs ($xxx)
Tuning ($4-600)
Installation ($xxx)
3 map bar sensor (have it)
Injectors (what size) ($xxx)

Please add to the list and fill out prices. Also, sponsors feel free to send me PM's with prices if you'd like. And if you want, just link me to a thread like this.

Thanks all....

Hey Nick, you're gonna need injectors too (don't forget the clips and fuel rail spacers). Size depends on whether you're gonna stay at 15psi For the same reason you should probably do the 3mm over the 2. You're also going to need a 3+ bar map sensor and boost control would be a real good idea (I'm using the gm boost solenoid controlled by the aem ems - don't forget the wiring pigtail). If you're still using a rising rate fpr, you'll want to ditch that for either the stock one, or an aftermarket one (i'm using the aem one).

With the exception of the head gasket and studs, the rest of the stuff is easy DIY. Obviously tuning is not.

You should be able to get RC 750s four of them for less than $350.

What fuel pump and fpr are you running?

What turbo is it? Depeding on he trubo sizing, at 15psi, you may have to build the block...

Our 3mm that we design is DIFFERENT than the standard 2mm and 3mm everyone else offers. If you want it to seal correctly, i honestly would look at our design.

As far as studs, you don't need to waste your money on that. Only get the studs, if you plan on taking the head ON and OFF a lot. Stock bolts hold our 500+rwhp head fine. Just torque them correctly.

With the 3mm gasket you can boost 15psi no problem, and you'd probably make around 390-410rwhp. You do not have to build the block at this boost with a 3mm gasket. There are a few we know running 20psi daily with our gasket.

You can PM me if you have any other questions.

Thanks

Wouldn't he get the same benefits by not using the 3mm HG and just staying with the stock CR and just boosting around 10 psi?

Can you explain the difference of boosting on 9:1 CR and 15 psi and achieving a total boosted CR of 18.2:1 and 11:1 CR and boosting 10 psi and achieving about the same total boosted CR? Except the fact that the 9:1 CR motor would lose some lower torque over the 11:1 CR. Or does lowering the CR allow you to put more volume of air in the engine and can lead to higher whp even though the total boosted CR's are the same between the two?

Boosting 10psi on stock compression is not good. TRUST ME!!

If your asking can you boost 10psi on stock compression? The answer is YES. Is it a good Idea to do so? Absolutely NOT.

Inlinepro sales the 3mm Head Gasket for 2 reasons.
1. To take advantage of the factory forged Internals
2. Making it safe to take advantage of the factory forged Internals

With this being said they have proven time and time again that this head gasket works! John has had his car in the 10
