What about the GForce 6 speed? Is there a kit out on it or the GF5r that's made for the S? How's the shifter fit in the stock location? I'd like something that looks stock as far as the shifter and that's why I was going to go for the V160 swap. What clutches are being used on the GForce 6 speed and GF5r for our setup? Even though the GF5r is clutchless, I'd still like to use the clutch if I can for daily driving.

It needs to be a 7" converter to best handle the rpms our motors turn, you will need to speak with someone from a converter/transmission building company that is knowledgable and reputable in order to get the right converter, but part of it is dealing with adjustments of the converter later on. Hughes Performance is who i had do mine beause of the people I race with they are the most willing to try different things as well as customer supports. I have a 7" billet in my car.

Other comanys such as Neil chance, jw, tci, ati, I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting.

If you talk with Hughes ask for Pete and tell him Brian Petty referred you, he will help you out

Unless you weigh over 3000, gf5r is good
I'm at full weight plus me 170. Getting info on the clutch assit. I do some roll races, drag on the street.

You'll definitely want a clutch assisted trans if you are doing ANY street driving.

I called Gforce today and they said the same thing to go with a clutch assist.

If I understand right, you can't shift like the clutch less. You have to tap the throttle. Then that means I have to build boost again?

You'll have to tap the clutch to shift. Or use a strain gauge/clutch switch shift interrupt strategy. You don't have to lift off the throttle.

If I have to tap the clutch and can keep it at full throttle it's ok with me.

Sorry for all the ?'s, I've never driven a clutch less trans before.

I'm confused as to how the clutchless trans works. How do you start out from a stop if there isn't a clutch or is the clutchless reference just meaning that you can shift without touching the clutch pedal once you get going and there actually is a clutch?
