Looks like BRP will be getting my FI dollars also. Was really trying to go the TC route but am just concerned with heat (AZ) and downtime. After spending a good hour on the phone with Brant I am feeling a bit more comfortable with the decision.
The word is 4-6 weeks before all the BETA kits go out and some time to allow them to all be installed so they can get the feedback they need in order to go from 95% on the kit to 100% for the masses.
Guess I will be the 120F Desert guineas pig

I also had a very long phone call with Brant that pretty much sealed the deal. I used to be Beta #10, but I think I'm bumped up a bit since a few dropped out. No matter, though. I'm going to drive down to Greenville to have them perform the install so schedules permitting, I could be anywhere from the first few to the last few to get the kit.
I did recieve a rather odd phone message from someone at BRP this weekend though. At first, I thought it was a prank call. The guy leaving the message wasn't speaking very elegent english (read suthern
), he kept refering to me as "slimjim" which I found offensive as they know my name, and I never really understood what he was getting at. I've tried to call the number back a few times but no one ever answers. The only thing that I was able to get out of the message was that the guy had just taken his first test ride/drive in their tester and needed to change his pants.
Durty south I guess...

Slimjim,
If you need a translator, I speak "real good" suthern, it's a standard course here in Western KY. By the way, I'm S2000nKY over at BRP. Brant, if you're watching, I have alot of extra underwear changes I'll bring with me to Greenville. Just say when.

I am pretty sure they will be doing the in-house kits first up to catch any of the macro problems (dialing in the ELF) and then shipping the kits out to self installers to catch any of the micro problems and finalize the install guide.
I am pretty excited now that I pulled the trigger. Not really looking forward to installing the kit in 115 degree July/Aug weather though. Only work around is to start at about 5AM and my garage AC unit can hold a comfortable temp until around noon. Then there is always the next day.
