So you are saying that with this kit I will be able to drop from whatever RPM I would like and I will be completly ok.
you will just transfer the weak link to the gearbox, clutch and propshaft
this kit will only prevent failure in the diff, cv and axles
for serious competition you will need to upgrade the gearbox and clutch as well

for those interest in using a 240sx diff, which is lighter and smaller than the R33, you can check these links for more information

kandamotorsport has also produced axles and cv rated way above 1000rwhp, if our 4 cylinders ever get there . The outer cv has speed sensor teeth on the outer cv too so there is absolutely no modification necessary. Check my links for the shopping list.

Hey Guys,

here is the finished product, I have tested it and it works great. Also I will be racing the car on Wednesday, I will post a vid of how the car performs down the quarter.

Sorry about the size of the pic, but you can get a better look of everthing fitted.

Cheers

im planning on reinforcing too..

im not gonna launch..

but my plans r just

cusco LSD and CT reinforced diff housing

(a friend of mine's dad owns an axle/cv shop and hes been rebuilding axles for like 30+years..) anywho he told me the honda axles are baically the same as the "race" axles. he rebuilds the "daytona prototype" grand american cars axles and showed me both... and their like same materials and etc. i asked him if 350+rwhp will hurt em and hes like.. just run oem.. and you'll be fine.. worst case scenario he can pick me up on the wrecker and rebuild em for 5$.lol

thats my 2 cents tho.

I wonder at what rpm I can launch my car (est. 330whp) at with CT re diff and 457 gears, without destroying my rear end? Of course the higher the rpm's are at during launch, the more damage and wear that can be done, but I was just wondering if there is a sweet spot that I can get away with (1500, 2000, 2500rpm+).
I think thats the problem. Everyone is launching low thinking that the lower you launch the better it does. The problem is that the lower you launch the more likely you are to have good traction. Im not FI so I wouldnt know but sucessfully spinning the tires out of the whole seems to be more beneficial to the diff. Launching in VTEC will normally get the job done unless you guys are running different tires (Im on s02's). With an NA it is pointless to get immediate traction off the line because:

1) you wont be in vtec and you will bog
2) lots of shock on the drivetrain

the main problem is if it is too sticky then you are going to hook up either way and BOOM. When I tracked my car I asked around before I made the decsion on where to launch. Everyone said it was not very sticky....

just my 2 cents
