Buying Used Comptech Help!
Ya i agree. Missing bolts (ones that mount the blower to the car...looks like theres only 3 in the pic.) also missing the grommet type washers that holds the blower bracket onto those bolts that are missing. Unless im not seeing them.
What's the stock boost size pulley for an ap2...since I have to buy one is it worth going with a higher boost pulley while still using comptech esm? Also how much is the modified crank pulley.. Hate peicing together missing parts
stock boost is 5.5 psi, i'd guess 4.2" for the supercharger for an ap2. that pulley should be mounted on the backside of the bracket the supercharger is attached to, i can't see how somebody would not have it on there and the mounting nut/insert.
the ESM just hides boost (the rising rate fpr is what adds fuel but maxes out efficiency at 7psi), you gotta splice the ecu wires for the esm. i'd just get the synapse missing link for $60 and hide boost mechanically versus electronically, with no wire splicing, just mount the unit in between the map sensor and throttle body, and no ecu freakout.
the stock crank pulley is just drilled/threaded. the bigger issue would be getting that bolt on pulley that attaches to it. the best thing to do is gather all the major parts you are missing and give ct-engineering a call.

How much you getting the kit for? Unless it's really cheap gonna be not worth it in long run.
I got my partial vortech kit really cheap and still spent a lot buying even just small bolts from Vortech.
Adds up quickly. Still saved a lot in the end but not as much as I originally thought I would.

Not really considering you are missing all that stuff.
Seen the full kits including fuel pump for like 2800 or something.
I would def not pay over 2000. Will be a headache getting everything.
I wound up getting my Vortech kit after buying all little parts and pump and pulleys etc. for like 1500 total.
Couple hundred more and you will have a complete kit ready to bolt on.
Might even find someone selling an aftercooled one for that amount as times are tough to sell these days.

input greatly appreciated

On a positive side since the SC kit is local to you, you'll save on duty fees and exchange rate. A 3k kit complete to your door will be over $3500 when said and done so maybe picking up some small missing parts to compete the kit might be worth it.
didn't realize you guys were in canada. i sent a bra free to kwasley but i didn't realize there was a duty and i stated the value to ups for package insurance but it turned around and bit in the butt 'cause duty was $50 on a free item, i was very upset about it...
