BW S363SXE vs Garrett GT3076R
Im switching my setup mainly because of vibrations with the mani, but also because of the lag. Im currently running a sheepy sidewinder non-divided with a PTE 6062BB. Doesn't spool til 5300 and fully spooled by 5500.
Im switching to a schmuck built T4 divided. I refused to run PTE as from my experience, they are straight garbage as is their customer service. I would rather not spend $1600 on a gtx. Looking at the BW and garrett GT series.
Can anyone comment on the spool characteristics on a sidewinder manifold for either of these turbos? The BW is wicked cheap compared to Garrett. I would like to spool in the low 4k rpm range top end at 550-600hp on e85. Gracias

The fastest spooling turbo for your goals would be a gen 2 Garrett gtx3071r with a t4 divided 1.06ar hotside. A normally old non billet wheel gt3076r will not hit your power goals.

What AR is your turbine housing on the 6062? I ran a .82 on my old 6262JB and full spool to 34 psi was at around 5000 rpm. Maybe your tuner has things setup for a soft hit on the boost?

You can get a Garrett GTW3476 in Journal Bearing for ~$1070 or in ball bearing for $1390 and they will hit your power goals. Easily 550whp. Maybe 600whp on E85. It's currently only available on T3 divided according to ATPturbo's website, but a T4 divided housing should be able to be machined for it... I think.
The S363SXE is a much bigger turbo, like a 750whp turbo. The GTW3476 will spool much faster being a step size smaller.

its on the .82. Car was tuned by Mase Engineering on E85. I'm not familiar with ignition timing, espeically with E85, but the boost solenoid is not setup softly. I've messed with it and it has nothing til 5k then it hits like a fking rocket

A GTX3071R Gen2 will do 550whp with the quickest spool, but like I said, you can hit that power goal with the GTW3476, give up some spool to the 3071, but save a good chunk of cash. But personally, I'm of the philosophy of pay for the best the first time because you'll end up wanting later.
